Explore the Eyre Peninsula and go cage diving with white sharks

One of the most thrilling things you can do in life:

Meet a white shark under water

The Eyre Peninsula is located in South Australia not far from Adelaide. It inhabits many National parks like the Lincoln National Park or the Coffin Bay National Park. The peninsula is highly dedicated to agriculture. Moreover, there is also an existing fishing industry in the bigger cities. In addition, the area inhabits numerous mines. Findings such as iron ore, jade, graphite or uranium are exported and bring wealth to the region. Furthermore, the area is widely known for its seafood and a great coastline. Tourist attractions are amongst others:

– snorkelling or diving with see sea lions and dolphins
– watching the mass breeding of the Giant Australian Cuttlefish
– observing southern right whales from the shore or by boat.
(Eyre Peninsula, 2019).

The tourist attraction the area is most famous for is cage diving with white sharks. Diving with white sharks is something very special and unique. Tours with white sharks can only be conducted in 3 other places in the world. The threatened animal can grow up to 20 ft. and 4,000 lb and can be observed from close distance. Tours are provided on a daily basis by local tourism companies. The tour normally takes one day and leads to the Neptune Islands, around 17 miles south of the mainland. However, there is no guarantee that you see a white shark. Baits are used in order to attract them, but it might happen that you wait in vain (Shark cage diving, 2019). Could you ever imagine to do cage diving and be eyeball to eyeball with an white shark?
